Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The division is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of congenital, acquired, traumatic, and pathological conditions of the oral and maxillofacial regions.

The division, in conjunction with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the UT Dental Branch, provides students with the opportunity to acquire the basic principles of diagnosis and treatment pertinent to the discipline. A postgraduate four-year program includes a basic science program, a six-year double-degree program with advanced placement in medical school. Rotations are at Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center, The Methodist Hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital, and the Michael DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
