Post-Hurricane schedule update.....

MS I Revised Schedule (click here)

1. Block 1 exams scheduled for Monday, September 22 through Friday, September 26 are cancelled

Content from Block 1 will be included in the Block 2 and/or Block 3 exams as deemed appropriate by the respective course directors.

In an effort to help you assess your knowledge and prepare for your Block 2 exams, Gross Anatomy, Developmental Anatomy, and Biochemistry will post practice exams for you to complete through Blackboard.  For Histology, use the practice exams that are already available.

These practice exams must be completed by Monday, October 13.  Please contact the respective course directors for additional information.

2. Lectures, skill sessions, and labs from Friday, September 12 through Friday, September 19 will be rescheduled to next week (9/22-9/26). 

Biochemistry

Block I Lectures 1-10 (Protein Structure and Function) will be examined during the extended Block II Exam.  There will be a separate exam of 25 questions for that part of Block I in addition to the Block II exam.

Block I Lectures 11-20 (Molecular Biology) will be examined during the extended Block III Exam.  As during the Block II exam, there will be a separate exam of 25 questions for that part of Block I in addition to the Block III exam.

Please see the MS2 Class Schedule Outlook calendar to review your lecture, practice session, and lab schedules for next week (September 22 – 26).  Some of the lectures, practice sessions, and labs from Friday, September 12 through Friday, September 19 have been rescheduled. You can check the Outlook calendar to confirm lecture, practice session, and lab times and topics. For those lectures that have not been rescheduled, please refer to the archived streaming video from the 2007-2008 academic year and/or contact your course director.

The Office of Educational Programs maintains the class schedule for the first and second year medical school classes.

Shared Outlook calendars titled MS1 Class Schedule and MS2 Class Schedule are available to faculty, students and staff and for those with access to the UT-H network and a properly configured Microsoft Outlook email client. See Computer Support at right for a detailed Setup, Configuration and Troubleshooting Guide from Medical School Information Technology. The Office of Educational Programs strongly recommends this method of accessing schedule information.

For those without a properly configured email client, access to the schedule can be obtained by clicking on the links to the right and logging in with a valid UID and password.

UPDATES MADE:

·         10/6/08- The Gross Anatomy Exam on 10/27 will begin at 9am and end at noon. The Devo Exam on 10/28 will be from 1-3pm. Both exams have been extended.

·         9/23/08- The Gross Anatomy lecture on 10/22 should read “Cranial Nerves II: Clinical Correlates”. 

·         9/23/08- the Sept 30 Master Advisory Session has been moved to Oct 1st

·         9/22/08- update made. The Gross Anatomy clinical correlation lecture for Dr. Buja on Wednesday, September 24 at 11:00 has been moved to Friday, September 26 at 8:00 AM.

UPDATES MADE:

·         the Pathology lectures on Monday, 10/27 from 8-10am have been moved to MSB 3.001.  There will be a MS1 exam in 1.006 during that time.

·          

·         9/30/08- The Behavioral Science lecture on October 23rd, on Autism, by Dr. Loveland, has now been moved to Friday, October 3rd, at 2pm.

 

·         9/30/08- the Thoracic Radiology I lecture scheduled for today at 11AM-12PM has been moved to Nov. 20th 11AM-12PM.  

 

the Radiology Small Groups scheduled for 1-3 PM today has been moved to to Nov. 20th 1-3 PM.

 

  • 9/26/08- Physical Diagnosis Preceptorships have been pushed back. They will now begin on Oct 21, 2008. Please refer to the coordinator, Lenda Robinson, for more details.
  • 9/25/08- Dr. Foringer’s lecture (originally on the 26th) has been moved to November 6, 11am.
  • 9/23/08- The FCM lecture on Sept 15th, 9am given by Dr. DuPont has been moved to Sept 26th at 8am.  The original lecture on Sept 26th at 8am will be rescheduled at a later date.
  • The USMLE session that was scheduled for Sept 16 has now been moved to Tuesday, October 21st, at 11am in MSB 1.006
