| The
Office of Educational Programs is responsible for the administration of
the problem-based learning curriculum; for oversight of the case-writing
groups; for facilitator training; and for the production of the PBL cases
and associated exhibits. The Office also manages the Standardized Patient
Program and is responsible for the administration of the Comprehensive
Clinical Competency Examination (C.C.C.E.) at the end of the 3rd year.
The Office is responsible for the development of educational initiatives
and for providing support to ad hoc and sub-committees of the Curriculum
Committee in the implementation of such. The Office of Educational Programs
also promotes and conducts educational research focused on the undergraduate
educational programs and supports research educational endeavors by faculty
and residents. The Office also administers the Pre-Entry Program, monitors
the academic progress of students and provides academic support to all
students, including a peer-tutorial program. The Office of Educational
Programs also monitors student performance outcome to measure the efficacy
of the curriculum, including student performance on national examinations
and performance in residency training programs.
