Artist: Mauricio Salicru

Mauricio Salicru is a 2nd year medical student at UTHSC.  Born in El Paso, Tx and the son of a military mom, he had multiple opportunities to experience other cultures.  Wishing to capture these moments, he soon found himself with a camera in his hands.  “The ability to capture volumes of emotion in a single click amazes me.”  He often turns to photography, to help relieve the stress of medical school.  He’s always happy with a camera in his hands.  “Art is everywhere us, we just have to find the right frame.”
