Artist: Douglas Larsen

Douglas Larsen is a 4th year medical student at the UT Houston Medical School, and is a graduate of Angelo State University. Originally accepted to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston School of Medicine, he transferred to UT Houston after his second year of medical school to be with his wife, Reagan, who is also a medical student. The opportunity to train with his wife has been a fruitful and worthwhile experience, one he will remember for the rest of his life.

Doug's interest in photography developed after a backpacking trip in the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend National Park. The dramatic colors and landscapes of Big Bend inspired him to try his hand at photography, and he hasn't looked back since. He hopes to continue his pursuit of capturing the natural world around us through photography.

Doug is pursuing residency training in pathology at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. Reagan, always at his side, will enter the pediatrics residency training program at Scott and White as well.
